Specialized cold storage for fruit preservation is designed around precise temperature control, humidity retention, controlled atmosphere adaptation, and energy efficiency, in compliance with GB 50072 and GB/T 21439. It sets scientific storage conditions based on fruit moisture content, respiration intensity, freezing point and storability, and is widely used in fruit planting bases, wholesale markets, processing enterprises and chain supermarkets. Different fruits are stored in classified temperature zones: pomes at −1–2°C, stone fruits at −2–1°C, berries at −2–1°C, citrus at 2–5°C, and tropical fruits at 10–18°C, with matching humidity and controlled atmosphere parameters, supported by rapid pre-cooling and ethylene removal to suppress decay, dehydration and browning. The facility uses polyurethane insulation panels: 100mm for medium-temperature rooms, 150mm for low-temperature rooms, and 200–250mm for ultra-low-temperature rooms, adjusted appropriately by region and scale. Equipped with intelligent monitoring, AI defrosting, independent controlled atmosphere and zoned temperature control systems, it limits temperature and humidity fluctuations within ±0.5°C and controls postharvest loss below 5%. Featuring high preservation performance, energy efficiency and regulatory compliance, it supports customized design to meet short and long-term storage needs, maximizing fruit flavor, nutrition and commercial value.
