For ultra-low-temperature applications, we prioritize refrigeration configurations that can maintain stable performance under extreme operating conditions. For suitable projects, a cascade refrigeration system can be adopted, consisting of separate high-temperature and low-temperature circuits connected through an intermediate cascade condenser-evaporator.
The high-temperature stage can use refrigerants such as R404A or R507, while the low-temperature stage may use media suitable for extreme-low-temperature operation, such as R23, CO₂, or ethane, depending on the project requirements. Separating the two stages reduces the compression ratio of each cycle and helps control discharge temperature, compressor load, and operational reliability.
High-efficiency oil separation and oil-return mechanisms are also incorporated to support stable operation at temperatures of −60°C or below. Such configurations can be considered for demanding applications including biomedicine and deep-sea sample storage.
For an ultra-low-temperature project, provide your target temperature, storage application, and capacity requirements, and we can evaluate the appropriate refrigeration configuration.
